I'm looking for this mm book (there are more books in the series but I don't remember the name of it either) where one of the pair is a mage/warlock who got kicked out of his family but he learned to use magic anyway. The other tidbits I remember are: 1. His father is some powerful mage 2. As you need to use energy for magic he makes some skincare products which he sells to people and uses their energy(I think that the fat is energy and when people use his products they lose weight) And 3. I think a part of the story is in Italy.
