Sorry about the title, couldn't think of anything better.
I dont remember any of the names from the book and what I do remember probably wont be helpful but I've been trying to remember this book since I read it eight years ago and this is my only hope.
Cover: I know the cover was green and I think it had a fairy on it though I'm not sure about that part.
Plot: It started with this fairy (princess I think) flying around when she gets struck by lightning. Something was damaged (I think her wings) so she was banished into the forest where all fairies with disabilities are sent. She finds this place where other disabled fairies live, a town or city or something. The only other thing I remember is the ending where she returns to the castle with her love interest and this little boy. I remember the little boy finding out he has a twin. I think his dad was a noble of some sort. The book ended with the boy being sad because his mother hated him and had taken the twin with her while the father, who never wanted to give up the boy in the first place, stayed with him. (The little boy was born with some disability and it was kind of like what the ancient Roman's did) This next part is pretty much just a guess on the plot: I think while she was in the forest the fairies there taught her that their disabilities don't make them any less human than those who still live in the kingdom. I think she returned to the castle as a rebellious act of refusing to give up her title just because her wings were ruined. Like I said, those parts are more guesses than actual memories but it's what makes sense to me.
Genre: I found it in the fiction section of my middle school library so if I took a wild guess based on what I remember, it was probably ya.
Year: I don't know when it came out but i read it late 2011-early 2012.
That's literally all I remember and it ended with a cliff hanger like there would be another book. It's been driving me crazy for years because I remember loving the book and I would love to fill in the huge blanks in my memory.
So, if anyone has any clues what book I am thinking of I would greatly appreciate it. :)
