Imagine a world or even a (private) community where you could register your vehicle to be borrowed at any given time? The could be a registration process and veto system to give yourself some credit and when you call on a car, the car would be designated to you by a software system, but you have a choice in what car you want, say a supermarket parking lot has designated borrow cars section and you can contact the owner to check the cars condition and location and time.
