Love the game but i have one problem

Hey everyone, i finished the game a couple of months back and while im still having just as much fun going back through and collecting key data and other items, im starting to run into a small problem, some items are on high roofs and can only be accesed by picking them up, so obviously you need a scissor lift to get to them, problem is some of the areas im in, are very hard to find one, is there a easy way to find a lift or a certain spot where you can always find one?
