Returning an item purchased online

I bought an iPad on the Walmart website, and had it delivered to the store where I picked it up this morning. Now it turns out that I no longer need it (found a better deal elsewhere). When returning it, do I need the original credit card I used to order or can they do the return without it or issue a check or credit to a different card?
