Hello all! I am new to Volcas. I know they exist, but it's only now that I've become somewhat curious.
I have both a Pocket Operator (K.O!) and a Novation Circuit. Both have been really fun, but I can't seem to fully utilize the Circuit (making more tracks using the PO) because of its inherent electronic/EDM-ish sounds as opposed to the K.O! Which is a sampler.
Because I've now put the Circuit up for sale, I thought about what other fun grooveboxes there are that I can buy next as a replacement.
Some people mentioned the Electribe and that's how I came to remember the Volca series, particularly the Volca Sample.
My question is, if I buy the Sample, will I be able to make full tracks using it alone? I like the Volcas for their size and if I can make full songs on it like on a PO-33 and the Circuit, I think I'll be sold.
Is learning the Volcas harder than the Circuit or the PO?
What other standalone/grooveboxes that are cheap and portable would you recommend?
Thank you!!
