Hello! Long time artist & designer/engineer. So I’d like to say for starters that I graduated my university in 2017 with a degree in sculpture with a focus on designing & have basically a minor in illustration. By day I’ve usually been a tattoo artist for the last 6-7 years on & off. Most recently I have caught my break in my field of study & have landed a Job at an Additive Manufacturing facility in which our main production is 3D printing. We run several different types of manufacturing processes including but not limited to FDM, SLS, & PolyJet printing. I am responsible for handling/maintaining/ producing parts via the PolyJet machines. A PolyJet 3D printer is a veryyyyy special machine & the production can be quite costly because of that. This machine uses a liquid UV type of resin in the CMYK color format. It prints with liquid & uses a jello like support material that can be washed off. Another special feature of this printer is that it can print in rubber-like materials or a combo of hard plastic/resin & rubber-like! Due to this special process I have started to design my own figure to process and order though to start my journey as a small production toy maker. So far I have designed a set of almost 10 different characters that I plan to release both in 3 inch & 5 inch figures; with the 5 niche ones containing much more detail than the smaller sets. Also the bigger ones will be able to be assembled & disassembled as needed to change out parts. The shoes have rubber-like sole & arms can be switched to ones that can old objects. Would love to know what the people of Reddit think! Would you order one?!
