Hey r/videography
I shoot corporate gigs on my g7. I'm editing on a shitty macbook but I've never had an issue with the avchd/.mts files before. I recently updated premiere and now both premiere and media encoder can't deal with the larger files.
All of the broll imports fine, but I have like 2 hours of interviews. The interview files are split into 4gb sections. Both premiere and media encoder crash if i try to import these files.
So I decided to transcode everything to mp4 in handbrake. Everything seems to be working fine. However, I set handbrake to constant framerate of 23.976 or whatever, but when I export the file stills says like 20fps, avg 15fps while exporting. After the export the files look fine thought and they look like there're 24fps. Is this something I should worry about or no? Also, it looks like Handbrake might be cutting off a few frames of the files, which I hope doesn't cause me any problems.
Thanks.
