I have a Canon EOS 80D and I've been using that to record my videos, but it can't record in 4k and I'm really wanting to take that step up to 4k. I put so much effort and time into these videos, I don't want to look back in 10 years and regret not recording them in 4k.
I'm still going to use the 80D for Photos, so I'm looking to get a camcorder/camera with 4k Video as the sole focus.
I'll put as much detail as I can about what I record so it can hopefully help you help me.
an issue I have when recording with the 80D is that it has trouble focusing on extremely close up details, I can get pretty close up, which is close enough the majority of the time but I would like to be able to focus even closer if possible. I am clearly still an amateur but I've spent more time actually learning how to use the 80D Lately, I finally started learning how to tweak a few settings using the manual mode after years of using it, though I still have a LOT to learn.
My budget is around $400-$900 but I'm aware that might be unrealistic for the quality I'm wanting.
I was looking at the Panasonic HC-VX1 and the Panasonic HC-VX981k as they seem to be in the upper end of my price range, but I'm not sure if either would be a good choice as I know nothing about camcorders.
What are your recommendations for my use case?
