I had no idea about the xylitol thing, just happened upon it, we use the granulated version all the time, for years.
Our 12 year old frenchie recently devoured the contents of the 'sugar' bowl, I would estimate at least 200g of granulated xylitol. We know she ate it, caught in the act. Not knowing any different we just laughed it off. In hindsight she was maybe more tired and lazy for the rest of the day but no other symptoms.
This was a couple of weeks ago recently, no other effect whatsoever.. And yeah it was pure E967 , around a cup of it. So we have some kind of special dog I guess or its only toxic when as an ingredient.
