Curing/hardening winter squash question
Post Body

Hello, esteemed gardening redditors. I would appreciate your advice on curing/hardening winter squash in cooler climates. (I live in Zone 6b, with a first frost date of October 4th.) Everything I read recommends curing winter squash outside in 80-85F (26-29C) weather. The squash are not yet ripe, and the weather is already cooler than that.

How do folks in cooler climates harden their winter squash? TIA for your help.
