I recently had a job offer fall in my lap from a friend. I currently work in an Italian restaurant and have been thinking about leaving to work in something else that doesn't require me to sell meat as part of my job. The new job is in a steakhouse that has proven to bring me higher tips. However - it's a steakhouse.
There's other reasons I need a new job, but it basically boils down to my ethics and a need to work somewhere new and start a new chapter in my life. I need the money, as it will help me provide better for my kids. But the thought of working in a restaurant that requires presenting raw cuts of beef, chicken and seafood feels like I'm selling out.
