Bit of a rant here... I'm taveling with my friend right now plays violin, making a bit of a busking tour, we're in switzerland. today we went to a squat in town cos we heard there was food, we figured it would be classic vegan food by donation, probably dumpstered, maybe a bar with reasonably priced stuff, somewhere we could hang out, make music, meet local crusties whatever. anyway we got there and there was antifa graffiti all over, no cop zone, ACAB, fascists not welcome, whatever, seemed a legit place. We go inside, and there's a menu in the entrance, it's all the same prices as local fancy restaruants, CHF12 for the cheapest pizza, drinks the same price as any restaurant in town. all the people sat at the tables are in suits, or super hipster looking, its all really fancy and well to do. this is an adversely posessed building, where they're paying no rent, right in the middle of the city, and it seemd like they're just using it as thir own capitalist money spinning hipster paradise. I ended up telling them what I thought of the place, it's like no squat I've ebver been to, just a big capitalist coin factory. if you find yourself in Bern, looking up at a graffiti covered building next to the skate park, don't bother going to check it out... I wont be going for the eviction resistance of this place, and honestly, if they get kicked out, it wouldnt be the worst thing in the world.
