So I have been offered admission to the M.Eng. program in Chemical Engineering for Fall, 2022 however I talked to the program coordinator if I can convert this offer into an M.E.Sc. in Chemical Engineering. He has asked me to find a professor would be willing to supervise me.
So far I have emailed 4 different professors but there hasn't been any response. I am emailing them from the university provided email and I do read about the research areas and publications and craft my email in a way that it matches my work experience. Also, I always attach my curriculum vitae in the email for them to review.
I am growing impatient as I need to have a professor before the end of next month so I can deposit a non-refundable 550 CAD fee to secure my spot at the university.
Anyone here who has been through this process before at UWO? Would appreciate them telling me the dos and don'ts and how to navigate this situation.
(I am an international applicant in case this information matters)
Edit: would be grateful if someone from the Chemical Engineering department could reply or DM me.
