Getting out of meal plan?

Iām a rising junior living in the dorms in a living community, so I was required to sign up for the meal plan. Given that itās only going to be take-out or āreservationsā for dining this year, would I be able to get out of it and still live the dorms? I really would rather have the money to get my own food and take out from restaurants...
