The amount of flak people receive for copy/pasting opening messages, whether it be here, or other sites, is ridiculous. I'm not talking about a shitty copy paste with low effort, those deserve to be shit on; I put a lot of effort into crafting an opening message that fits a general purpose. I give insight into my intent, a bit about myself, and why I think the person might have interest in me/selling points. I do this in a kind manner and suggest if the person would like to know more/is interested in what I'm offering, then I'd love to chat and get to know each other more in depth.
The whole point is so neither of us waste time chatting back and forth for nothing. I'm a very straightforward/to the point person. I'm not going to blindly craft a unique message for every person I message, considering most people don't even have the courtesy to reply back. Stop bitching about copy/pasted messages. People wouldn't use them if they didn't provide results or if recipients actually responded with a simple "Sorry, not interested. Good luck with what you're seeking!"
I've never criticized someone for copy/pasting, because its just time management (if done right). Get over yourself, if you do this. Just as we aren't entitled to a response, you aren't entitled to a perfect personal greeting. I don't even fucking know you yet, the point is to gauge if we should bother getting to know one another, at all.
