(I'm not talking about Z-girls or something like that, I'm talking about KPOP;
- I'm not talking about mixed-asians because they are asians
-I'm not talking about people who born in Asia and grow up in Asia so they are asians too...)
Why would you want to be a kpop star if you dont have any asian ethnicity ?! Kpop was a way for asians to finally get recognition in the musical industry. Why would you absolutely want to be in kpop? There are plenty of places for non-Asians to find success in entertainment and asians basically have... Asia
Kpop is an important market to globally represent Asia's talents when they're not fairly represented in the western world. - Kpop should be more open to other asian countries (its starting to be finaly!) and also more open for asians with a darker skin too because they exist.
I'm a black girl and when I see a video like "Becoming a black kpop idol" or something like that I lose brain cells
Kpop isnt kpop with non-asians
EDIT: I know Its up to Korea to decide xD I'm just expressing

all music has been inspired by other cultures and existing genres of music. It's just how music evolves - kpop is a result of "western" influences though it really has become its own unique thing, with western influences (e.g. hip hop, rap) coming in due to global westernization the US's increased involvement in SK (I don't know how much you can blame SK for this when the US literally got involved and broke Korea apart lmao). Just my opinion tho lmao
