My partner has noticed a recent uptick in their job discouraging unions. There wasn't any active union push at their location of this chain (not saying for their safety), but a few nearby ones are apparently filing for a union election according to their union Twitter account. My partner now wants to start the ball rolling on getting a union at their location. How can I best support them throughout this process?
I'm worried about retaliation as it's a small but fast-growing chain and they usually don't have trouble filling open positions when people quit. So I'm a good deal afraid of word getting out that my partner is organizing and then them getting fired without a second thought from the manager (who tbh already isn't a fan of my partner to begin with).
