I mean Uru-Chan made this character to be the idealistic, bubbly character that is positive and is having fun. She’s supposed to be very strong as a leader and is even the queen though we know it’s because Seraphina didn’t want the position.
However, she always struck me the wrong way. When we learn more about Rei, we can see how much she adored her brother. Hell, the whole ember escapade was because of her brother. She even agrees and preaches her brother’s system for treating kids fairly. Yet, she does nothing.
I mean Asslo calls her out on not doing any queen duties and simply hanging out with Blyke and Isen. She’s not really fit to be queen since she doesn’t know how to lead. Moreover, for a ruler, she is really unaware of what is happening in the school. Like Asslo, to his credit, knows what he is doing and for the most part had everything under control till he got greedy.
Speaking of Asslo, He tore down the entire system Rei created and Remi did nothing. Like what. the system she preached so much about was simply erased by Asslo and she did nothing about it. I felt as if she didn’t care so much because she was comfortable as a royal. Everyone treated her with reverence so she assumed everyone was treated the same.
Remi is naive at best, and hypocritical at worst.
Towards the present of these comic, she’s tried to change everything that missed. Most people agree with John that Remi’s solution was too naive and frankly impossible to establish. Asslo had to spend an entire year removing a system that Rei took three years to develop. Remi is supposed to be a good character with not many flaws besides her naivety but I can’t help but lump her in with Asslo and everyone else.
Remi is just another royal and is like everyone else. She never cared about the system till it affected her.
