So, like I said in the title, my mum bought me a pink (yay!) ukulele as a gift because I've passed one of my major degree exams! :D
The major problem is that I don't have a musical bone in my body - I actually got kicked out of primary school choir (when I was 7!!) for being too rubbish...
So, is this an instrument I can learn? Does it really just take hard work and perseverance? Has anyone else come from a completely non-musical background and gone on to enjoy playing?
To be honest, I'd love to play an instrument, and the uku looks cute, and seems quite fun, so if I'm going to learn anything I don't see why it shouldn't be this.
Also, any advice?
EDIT: apparently excitement renders me unable to type in coherent sentences...
EDIT2: So, 24 hours in and I've got a few chords under my belt, and I'm trying very gallantly to play along to some youtube songs! I'm having a blast, and I've barely put it down. Thanks for all the advice guys! It's really appreciated :D
