I've pretty much gone back into lockdown because the numbers are rising. I miss my friends, I miss not being stressed about accurately measuring 6 feet, I miss seeing the people I care about as much as I see the grocery store cashiers.
I miss sex, kissing, hugging, being touched. I don't really miss the dating process but it feels like this is not the year I'll meet my person, just because everything is so hard and unnatural.
Dating is the new raw dogging. The people willing to go and meet strangers without protection are more likely to be the ones carrying diseases. So the more likely someone is to post an ad to meet in person, the less I would want to meet them. The STI conversations about safe sex are now the covid distance conversations. "How many people are in your bubble? Are you sure those people don't see other people? Do you have to go to work with other people?"
It's a fucking mess and I'm really tired of it.
