Tl;Dr at the bottom

Hey, if you're here maybe you were interested in getting to know more about me. So here's the super long post I made before I decided to shorten it. I might just switch back and see if I get more hits with this one or the short one lol.

I'm 6'0, about 180lbs. My hobbies include video games, manga, anime, baking, eating good food, and recently started getting in to building Gunpla. I'm a bit of a nerd as you can see, and I'm also pretty introverted in person, but it feels easier to talk through something like discord or text honestly. I'm totally down to play games together and that'll probably be a good way to break the ice, willing to try your favorite game as well.

I play almost anything under the sun except for sports games, never really enjoyed those honestly. Not opposed to a good lunch either. If you know a good spot to eat in SoCal let me know, always down to try something new and tasty. I play mostly on PC and PS5. I do own a switch as well and play mostly Mario Kart so always down for a race or two.

Some of the games I play with buddies would include Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, and just about every popular FPS that has come out in the last 5 or 8 years lol. Games I play on my own include FFXIV(Currently taking a break), a bunch of RPGs, rhythm games, action adventure games and a bunch of mobile games since I'm usually out of the house on weekdays. Been trying to get back on Valorant and Apex but haven't really turned them on in a while. I'm currently playing some SF6, and barely started FFXVI due to work being busy. I also play mobile games but mostly just gacha games. Go figure right? Primarily Granblue Fantasy and Puzzle and Dragon. I also dabble in some rhythm games along with FGO. More than happy to try and play new games as well.

I've slowly been trying to get more active as well. Been doing walks on the treadmill, Ring Fit when I can, and also riding the stationary bike. If you're patient and don't mind giving someone pointers, I'm down to chat!

As I mentioned earlier, I am an introvert and I enjoy staying inside and keeping to myself most of the time. Don't get me wrong though, if I get invited out to eat or just to chill for a few hours I'm more than happy to do so. I tend to need to charge my social battery after like an 8 hour day of being outside around people but I can go out multiple days in a row as long as we vibe.

Career wise I'm in finance, but I mostly just do paperwork stuff so I have quite a bit of down time during the day once I'm done with said paperwork.

I'm sure you have questions about the virginity stuff, so I'll try and answer some of the common ones I can think of.

Is it by choice?

Yes and no. By choice cause I never really actively thought of pursuing a relationship, and unfortunately in my younger years I never had time to do so either. Never really bothered by it and even now it's still not a priority honestly. Now for the no part, I grew up in a religious household, so you know, the whole "Sex before marriage is a sin" thing. It is what it is though, nothing against them honestly.

Why use reddit and not dating apps?

Good question, mostly cause I'm afraid I'll run in to a coworker one day when I'm swiping on tinder, bumble, etc. etc. near work. I prefer keeping my private life private, so the less my coworkers know about me the better. I feel like I have less of a chance of running in to a coworker here than I do on dating apps. If that's actually true or not well I'll find out the hard way I guess. There's also the whole hurting mental health thing, and the last thing I want is for my mental health to deteriorate more than it has already lol

There must be something wrong with you if you haven't had a relationship by now

I mean yeah it's possible. I'm pretty shy so that's probably a big factor as to why I haven't been in a steady relationship. I swear I know how to talk normally and can keep a decent conversation going when it comes to my hobbies. I know how to listen but I just have trouble speaking outside of my friend circle to people I don't really know. The few times I've talked with people on here through discord I've been pretty good about talking and keeping the conversation going.

Are you open to a relationship?

Yes I am. If we vibe enough, even before the physical stuff, and we both want to pursue a relationship then I'm absolutely open to it.

Are you looking to meet right now?

Absolutely not. I understand some people have the "Gotta go out and get laid right this instant" train of thought, but that's just not me. If I'm gonna lose something like my virginity I want to make sure it's with someone I can trust and that I vibe with. So I'd like to get to know you as much, hopefully anyways, as you would like to get to know me. I wanna make sure you're sane and I'm sure you want to make sure I'm sane as well. Neither of us wants to be a making headlines or on a missing persons list, or miss any red flags in each other.

So what exactly you looking for?

Someone sane obviously lol. I'd also like someone that shares the same hobbies, if you're just looking for a quick thing please at least be upfront about it. I do want to be friends and while a one night stand is tempting, I at least want to make sure we have some connection. Please don't be younger than 24, you can send me a message and we can chat at least. Body wise I'm not really picky, but I'm sure we both have our own types. We'll exchange pictures of each other of course before we meet so if we aren't feeling a physical attraction, but think we're both nice people we can keep playing games and chatting.

I've seen this ad quite a few times, how is it going?

Well if you must know, not great. A lot of talks sort of fizzle out, they aren't my type, or I'm not theirs. I think out of the people that have replied to my ads, which is maybe 10 at best, only two of them actually got on and played games with me and only one actually talks with me with somewhat regular timing, mostly one word answers so they're more of an acquaintance than anything.
