J bolt setting tip

I got a great tip to preset the nut as a depth guide. Despite doibg this and setting up a rig to keep it from sinking, it sank a bit.
LUCKILY.. I dry fit my post bracket on top before it was fully dry. I was able to wiggle and scrape the semidry cement until there was enough sticking out again.
The tip: dry fit your bracket before everything has completely hardened!
