I factory reset an old Asus phone of my mine before sending it in, and of course it chooses to not boot after that. I spoke with a rep about it, asking if I can send in another phone in instead. She said "of course! not an issue" but then casually mentions that it's possible it could get a lower trade-in value.
According to this promo, any phone goes as long as the screen is good, it boots, and there's no water damage, but after she said that last part, I'm worried something will go wrong and they'll value it based on normal trade-in value (it's a Nokia feature phone, so probably near $0?), not the promo trade-in value.
Edit: btw, yes, I've been working on unbricking it, which is something I've done several times before. I've been trying everything under the sun, have so far been unsuccessful, and would prefer to get something delivered to them before the trade-in deadline than keep trying with the Asus.
