Platform(s):
Game Boy Advance
Genre:
Top Down Shooter
Estimated year of release:
About 2003. No idea though, cause I never really had access to a computer/any source of information and my parents bought that game.
Graphics/art style:
Comic-Like
Notable characters:
Aliens... yeah.
There have never been any character establishments as far as I remember, you just played this alien dude, kicking other alien dudes.
Notable gameplay mechanics:
You had a gun that you can shoot, it looked like a paintball gun, I think. A main gameplay element was also that you can move blocks around, which the levels consisted of, I think. I am not too sure of anything, I only remember it was a lot of fun.
Other details:
I think it had multiplayer functionality (which I never used, so no idea there).
There were bosses every so often, the smaller enemies resembled the boss, they kinda had the same tone.
The levels also resembled the boss's theme. I think the design of the stages was that it was kind of a flying platform, with blocks on it that you can move around to squash your enemies.
There were other "main" enemies like your player, but also minor enemies. You could collect power ups that would fill up an entire space of the grid based levels.
I think you kicked the blocks around with your feet.
I know all this sounds a little strange, but the game really was. I remember it being very challenging, but that might have just been me being bad at it.
I would really appreciate any tips to find this game so I might be able to buy it somewhere again.
