Notable characters: Main character was a man in fantasy-esque garb
Notable gameplay mechanics: May have had some rpg mechanics, but was definitely action based
Other details: Game began in a hot location, potentially on fire or lava based, and there are vague memories of a quest to take down a demon that killed the main character's brother. It definitely was NOT devil may cry, and wasn't a style brawler like that.
