So this wasnt today maybe about a year an a half ago. This was when craigslist personals was still up, despite hearing all the crazy ass stories I still used it an did successfully hook up twice after going through the thousands of bot. this time was different. I had come across an ad from this girl who said she was from out of town looking to hang out it was like 10 11pm. I started talking to her she was about 2 town away from me so I was about it. I tell her I could pick her up after I shower as I just got off from work, she tells me she can just take a family members car and she could come over an wait till I'm out of the shower. She proceeds to send nudes of how she'd be waiting for me on my bed luckily I was not flirtatious once so ever, I gave her the address from a burner number I'd use for craigslist. A couple of hours go by and I'm getting a bit skeptical an nervous as she is not replying at all 4am rolls around and I'm very paranoid due to the fact a stranger has my address and hasnt came. I end up getting a call from her number I pick it up and hear a mans voice say my name my heart drops to my stomach as I reply yes he replies why are you talking to my 16 year old daughter (I was like 19 20) and I'm like what the fuck because the ad said 19f I go on to tell him that (I should of just hung up) he proceeded to tell me she had taken his car without his permission and crashed it an continuous to ask if this is a normal thing for me to talk to underage girls I'm like fuck no I never have done this an like I said her post implied she's of age he goes on to say how he planned on contacting the police about the situation but if I complied things might go better for me the line went dead not to long after and I'm just thinking what the fuck have I gotten myself into. I end up talking to my friends about the situation and we all agreed something was fishy about it. The number called back this time I didnt answer the guy left some voice mails I only listened to one I cant recall what it said and ignored the others. I ended up deleting my burner number an definitely never went back on to craigslist. My thought after the situation was there was no girl and this guy was a scammer and was gonna try an blackmail me into giving him money. I truly got lucky nothing bad happend to me and more than likely should of reported the situation to the police, but at that point in time I had no idea what to do other than delete everything and hope for the best.

TL;DR TDIFU by using craigslist in attempt to hook up. Ended up getting a call from a man saying I was talking to his 16 year old daughter then coming to the conclusion he was trying to blackmail members
