I (18m) am/was friends with Carley (19f). Me and Carley have been friends for roughly a month. I have a crush on her, she knows. We don’t really talk much about it as to not make things awkward. We went Black Friday shopping today and she used my discount card to buy a PS5. She was so happy, and she hugged me, this isn’t uncommon for us, we hug a lot. Once we got to my place we hugged and she was about to leave. We hugged and I thought that was the end, but as I was walking away she randomly hugged me outside of my files of vision, and I reflexively hugged her back without really looking. It turns out my hands were right on her butt. It took me a moment to realize and when I did WE immediately disengaged the hug. I mumbled “sorry”, she didn’t hear me, and I realized I lost my phone in her car, so we went to her car and I got my phone. When she got home I texted her an apology for the awkward situation. She seems like she’s forgiven, but I’m not sure. I feel guilty for not realizing sooner. I worry about her thinking I intentionally did it because of my crush, but I would never ruin a healthy reliable friendship with an amazing person just to cop a feel.

TL;DR I accidentally touched my crush’s butt when we hugged, I worry she might think it was intentional because of my crush on her.
