I don’t have a particular stake here, and my sample size is small overall, but it feels as though it’s impossible to get any real answers or discussion on this subreddit without everyone just devolving into quote machines. I’ve not once found a thread here that wasn’t overrun with people parroting the same lines over and over.

Upon creating this I see now that there is a tag for serious discussions, but am I only seeing the bad side of the sub otherwise? Like I said I’ve not been here long, but it feels like a chore trying to find any real opinions or discussions amidst the brain dead fanboys. Thoughts?

(I’m very tempted to not use that tag and see how inundated this thread becomes with quotes)

Edit: Some good points have been made, mostly involving the age of the show and the idea that most topics have been talked out, but mostly I’m seeing a wall of quotes down there… and for the primary argument being “it’s an old show” this sub is incredibly active. I don’t really think I understand the mentality myself, but y’all seem content so I guess I’ll just stay away for the most part

Edit2: At this point I’ve seen “there’s always at least one answer among the quotes” a bunch of times, and aside from not feeling like that’s actually the case, in the situations that it is, it’s not much of a consolation. The primary issue I’m trying to illuminate is that the sub is incredibly frustrating to sift through when the same uninspired things are repeated under every single post

I’ll admit it can be very humorous when one hits home, some here have given me a good chuckle, but I feel it would be hard to deny that many lines are vastly overused without any thought put behind them… how many of you have macros for some of these quotes?

Edit3(bait really): Apparently responding to criticism and trying to have a real conversation is something to be ridiculed? People are unhappy that I’ve made edits and continued to respond on a post I made this morning?
