I like my tech. Although I rent an apartment, I have upgraded my lighting to Phillips Hue bulbs and done what I can to make my home as Smart as I can with in the guidelines of my lease. I tried upgrading my thermostat a while ago to a Nest but it was the first model and continually had to be in "cooling" mode in order to control the heat. It also would randomly turn my place up to 35 degrees Celsius while I was away. So, back to the old slider thermostat I went.
I am once again looking to see if tech has advanced when it comes to thermostats and if there is something Smart that will work with my apartment baseboard heater system and be controlled through my Google Home. I do know that the only wires I have for my thermostat are a R and a Y cable.
Is there something out there that I can upgrade to?
