Hey all, so I just discovered something very embarrassing- I have been in PP for a year now, panelled with insurance through Alma. I have a caseload that's about 85 percent full and lately consultation requests and inquiries have been low. My requests mostly come through Alma, psych today, and mental health match. I just did a search of my contact info on various insurance websites to see if anything is awry. And to my horror I discovered that under all these different insurances, the contact phone number is almas, as well as the email. So I've NEVER been able to be reached through someones insurance provider search portal.
Can anyone give me feedback on what percentage of folks approximately found them through their client's search in their insurance portal? How big of an oversight was this on my part? Honestly I'm hoping it's a big one which would mean I'll be getting more referrals once I am properly listed. But on the other hand maybe this isn't such a big way people find a therapist? Let me know either way!
TL;DR what percent of your clients found you through their insurance portals and how silly was I to have the wrong contact info listed on these sites for the past year?
