Is there anything good about the 1989 movie?

Sometimes I think about watching it, checking it out, because I never seen it before. Maybe a clip or two but that’s it. I’m curious but at the same time I wonder if it’s even worth it. Has anyone seen it that would help me out?

Honestly it's surprisingly good for an adaptation made when Frank was only 20 issues into his first run.

I think you can also see a bit of influence it had on Garth Ennis' run, especially considering he called Dolph the best live action Punisher.

I will say the Workprint cut is the best version, it's easily findable online.

Same, the ending scene with Gianni is also a bit better imo.

Worth noting all the cut scenes from the workprint was kept in the comic adaption of the movie. It also had Frank don the skull in the end.
