I am yellow. I am not red. I am not purple. I am not grey. I am not spectacular in any way. I don't jump on trends quickly. I am never overwhelmed by technology. I don't participate in heated political debates on Facebook. I wouldn't know what to do with a Snapchat account. I like vanilla bean ice cream. I love visiting New York City, but I've never been to the Bronx. I don't make a lot of money, but I don't live check-to-check. I've argued with my parents, but I have a relationship with them.

I keep my car in a garage. I pay too much for my cable and phone service but never do anything about it. When I die, I want something funny written on my headstone...but my family will probably balk at the idea once I'm gone. I enjoy playing with my kids. I don't enjoy most other people's kids. I once owned my own business. I didn't become rich when I sold it, but it didn't fail, either. I've only been to five countries, yet that's somehow more than most of my friends.

I have voted for candidates from several different political parties in my life. I like cold cereal for breakfast. I have glasses, but could probably survive just fine without them. I own an iPhone. I wouldn't know how to retool something, though the idea intrigues me. I like my wife. I don't like kale...or coconut water. I believe in paying for a good haircut. I still don't fully understand Bitcoin. I boycott companies because of terrible commercials. Most of my material possessions are probably made under deplorable conditions. There are probably a lot of spelling mistakes in this post, but I won't bother rereading it to see.

In every single way I am unremarkable and forgettable. That's yellow. I've accepted it. There's noting I'm going to actively do about my yellow fate. It could be better, sure. But it could be a whole lot worse.
