Ok so im living in japan atm and have been using a service provider here in okinawa for the last month or so with no problems. Today however, i was browsing the internet with no problems when pages quit loading. I was still connected to the internet so i clicked troubleshoot and it came back with "Your computer appears to be correctly configured, but the device or resource (dns server) is not responding" So i googled solutions, got a few, and restarted the modem and router, flushed the dns using the command prompt, and went into network properties and made sure it was obtaining ip address and dns ip automatically. None of that worked, so i changed the dns servers to use the google public domain ip's and voila internet worked. Which is fine, except i cant do that on my phone or on my apple tv so those still dont work when connected to the wifi. Soo tl;dr is this something thats more than likely a service provider issue since the google public dns server worked?

also just using windows 7. idk the model of modem or router. theyre japanese.
