I am a 36 years old guy. I got a PhD in computer science last year and I started working in a tech startup. I have some highly demanding skills in the current market like ML knowledge, ability to do cutting-edge R&D and fluency in Python. I wasted many year of my life in my 20's and I have entered the job market pretty late. Also I realized that the whole tech industry is really a modern form of slavery. So I don't want to stay as a tech employee for long term and I don't want stocks and company shares. I just want to maximize the amount of cash I can save in a couple of years and then leave the industry. What is the best strategy for this goal? Should I change jobs frequently? Should I apply for big tech or small startups? Should I move to a state with low tax and look for remote jobs? What else do you suggest? Basically I wanna save as much as I can and escape to a different country before I reach age 40 and start my own local business.
