So to people that have read the book, I'd love your help! please don't spoil every detail of the plot for me, but I enjoy John Greens books but have very bad GAD and a lot of obsessive thoughts that cause me to do a lot of compulsive checking, doing meaningless movements/ tasks and hearing shouting/ whispering voices (usually thoughts about terminal illnesses in myself and my close family, my family dying randomly, people committing suicide because of something I said/ did.)
I am a very social/ extroverted person and am 100% fine in any kind of social situation and distracted I just get very bad when I am alone/ focus on these thoughts. I know if the book shared a lot of common thoughts it would cause me to turn into a pile of shit for days at least, so I'd like to know what the main focuses are?
If its mostly hygiene oriented I'm fine with that, if it's a lot of the stuff I mentioned above I may unfortunately have to take a pass, or at least wait until I'm in a particularly OK mindset. I'd rather have the book a bit spoiled for me so I can be prepared than go in blindly and go insane for god knows how long haha.
Thanks!
