Wondering if this is something to be bothered about?
Artist put my exact idea on someone else a few weeks before my appointment.
I have a tattoo booked in a couple weeks. I have a few tattoos, but wouldn't say I'm an expert on the Industry...so I'm wondering if this situation is shitty, or completely normal.
So, I sent an artist a reference photo for a tattoo idea. My assumption was that we'd slightly change it up in the design process so it wasn't a carbon copy, and then get it done.
I follow this artist on Instagram and saw that they posted a story of a tattoo they did today with the exact design I requested, just weeks before they were set to give me the same tattoo.
Now, I know i was essentially going to get a tattoo that someone else has, but I'm feeling a bit weird that they gave it to someone else, down to even the placement I suggested just weeks before I was to get it done.
Is this a weird move? Or is this par for the course?
