Hi there - /r/stlouis user here and have a question I figured couldn't hurt to ask.
My extended family has planned a trip to Tradewinds in St. Petersburg for the week of 10/9 to celebrate my parent's 50th wedding anniversary. We've heard reports of red tide affecting the area, something I'd not heard of before but have read as much as is practical for a night.
My question is, what's it like on the ground in that area, and based on your own experience knowing the area far better than we ever could, if our trip is a bit over a week in the future should we consider alternate options?
I don't expect we'll cancel coming altogether, but we could consider staying in other places if it was necessary.
Any feedback or advice is appreciated!
