Me: Is your network cable plugged in?

Derpina: Yes.

Me: Let's reboot your machine.

5 Minutes Later

Derpina: Ok, I logged back in and it's doing the same thing.

Me: And you're sure your network cable is plugged in?

Derpina: Yes, it's plugged into my computer, but does it need to be plugged into the wall, too?

Me: Yes, yes it does. Plug it into the wall.

Derpina: (sucks teeth and fiddles under desk) Ok, it's working now.
