I want to upgrade my house to get a music room, who has one? Is it good?

I currently have a small 8sqm room that I use as my music room / office. This is ok but I'd like to get a larger house with a bigger music room one day so we can get more instruments and some bigger synths. Has anyone swung this? What's it like? Does your wife / husband like it? :)
