Do world arena victory points (not to be confused with rank #/%) decay? If so, at what rate do you lose points?

So I fought my way up to fighter rank in world arena with 1200 victory points exactly. There is no rank#/% requirement for fighter rank, just 1200 victory points.

So I bought my pretty Gladiator of Wrath transmog thingy (fighter rank required for purchase) and then I stopped fighting. I got the rank to get the season reward and didn't want to lose it. When I checked in a week or so later I had lost 5 victory points for doing nothing. 1200 victory points had decayed to 1195*.

I've managed to get my victory points back up above 1200 but i would like to know how long I have before it drops again due to inactivity.
