I have received coaching for early game situations and warding situations a lot. However, I don't play early game oriented champions, and I personally feel like the information isn't helping me make long-term improvements to my climbing. So I started asking for information beyond laning and warding, because the laning information isn't making me more consistent and every other coach or mentor says that warding advice is "nifty" but extremely iffy on how helpful it is for actually climbing.
OK, so I ask "Well I'm winning lanes and losing games. What should I be doing differently to alleviate this?". Literally no one wants to help me with this question. I've gradually asked more straight forward and more aggressively to say "This is specifically what I'm looking for help with", and no one has actually taken this seriously. Even just tonight, I asked once again, we went over warding habits, and I lost two more games where I had an initial lead. To be fair, the person I asked doesn't play enchanters, so they couldn't do much for me, anyway, but the point is that going over warding has, once again, not done anything for me.
I play scaling support champions and all I know is "Smash lane. Smash lane. You can't expect to win if you don't smash lane". Then someone says "Well, you shouldn't expect to win lane since you play scaling picks"...but how do I win if I don't win lane? I can't even win when I DO win lane with any degree of confidence. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, so I ask, but no one I've asked so far has taken me seriously.
So I made this thread to ask:
- Can someone direct me to a resource that specifically talks about mid to late game support play, especially for enchanter champions?
or
- Would someone be willing to look over what I do in a few games and figure out why I'm just losing games that are otherwise free, even on champions that are SUPPOSED to be good in the late game?
or
- Can someone just tell me what I should be doing as a reply to this thread?
Check out duoking1 stream on twitch, he has a lot of good insights on both adc and support
