I duo bot with my friend alot and i play support and he is trying to learn to play Kog'Maw since he arguably has the strongest 2 item power spike with Triforce and IE. I've heard from players and when watching the lcs that Kig has a strong laning phase yet from my experience, i've found it to be the opposite. Why do people consider him to have a good laning phase? His Bioarcane barrage has a long cooldown and only lasts 8 seconds and most of the time in lane, i find my friend getting bullied due to having a short range of only 500. What is the correct way of playing Kog'Maw in lane so he is a strong laner? I feel like my friend has a hard time CSing with his short range and doesn't understand how to use his W effectively in lane and doesn't know how to correctly trade in lane with him.
