About a month and a half ago, a pot SD from LA messaged me saying he visits my city for work, and would consider flying me out 1 weekend a month for a LT arrangement. We met when he was in my city 2 days later and went to an upscale restaurant for dinner. We had instant chemistry, had each other laughing, and he told me I was even prettier in person than my pictures displayed. He ended up giving me $xxx to cover my Ubers, and we kissed good night.

We kept in contact every once in a while, and officially reconnected about a week ago to plan a trip for me to fly to LA and spend the weekend. He bought my flights, and emailed me the confirmation. We chatted on/off until the day before saying how excited we were. Less than 24hrs before I’m supposed to be on the plane, he sent a text apologizing, and said he has no choice but to cancel, and told me to call the airline and ask for the credit I can use for myself in the future. He also stated he’d “make it up to me”

I replied stating my disappointment, but thanked him for letting me know, and told him I understood. I also asked if he would be open to sending me the $x,xxx ppm, or even half what we agreed to make it up to me.

Considering he canceled/flaked last minute, I don’t find it unreasonable to ask, especially as a way to make it up to me.

What he doesn’t know is, I actually got my hair and nails done, and even bought a sexy lingerie outfit to surprise him (which I wouldn’t have went out of my way to spend the money if it weren’t for this trip). He hasn’t replied after my request, and I’m wondering how to handle the situation as I really liked him.
