As previously mentioned, the love of my life passed unexpectedly and I still have to work. Obviously working in the club brings up a billion different issues when you’re going through a hard time. Here’s some things im doing to prevent myself from going off the deep end 😊💕
set amount to put in savings after every shift (automatically shove it somewhere safe) so i dont go spending crazy and broke to cope
finances the morning after every shift, keeps me from over spending and losing track of things. Helps me feel in control of my life.
maximum 4 drinks per night WITH a glass of water between but im trying to be 100% sober in the club and out
bringing propel drink mixes to the club, if I accidentally drink too much, this will prevent hangover and help sober me up
set cleaning days and times, including for my work bag. Every night I’ll toss things in a hamper. This stops the laundry from piling up and making me more depressed
let my managers know what is going on so they understand and can help aide in cutting me off if I DO fall off the deep end
limiting how much I think about the club etc. I journal after every shift to get the thoughts out and then focus on hobbies etc more
avoid anyone who will offer me any sort of substance. Idc what it is, I ignore them all together because im at a time of struggle and too vulnerable right now’s
small savings goals over big ones. I dont have the mental bandwidth for large goals anymore, so im sticking to “pay xyz two months in advance” instead of my original $20k baby fund
packing lunch so i dont fall into the habit of fast food or not eating after work :) easy stuff at home too, like Dino nuggets
set schedule so i dont get cash addicted and fall into the trap of working myself until i cant anymore
Hope this helps anyone who may need it

I used to love crock pot recipes! I’ve been thinking about batch prepping some freezer meals to toss in the oven on days off
