SDR lights...

Hey all, just built my first stratux. I’m getting nothing on 1090 before attempting any of the troubleshooting I’m wondering if the SDR should light up like the 978? I also am not getting any weather. Just wanted to make sure I don’t do all this trouble shooting for faulty hardware.
P.s. I have run it at home, driving to work (drive right by a tower) and also at the class B airport I work at all day.
