What's the point of internal schedules?
Post Body

The usual caveats- spent over $1,000 on the game, love CIG, I support them 100%, they don't owe me anything. Yes, I am a whiny bitch. However:

"What if we didn’t give you just an estimated date, but instead shared our internal schedule? No filter, no hedging. You see what we see." Chris Roberts- 4 weeks ago.

Going to try and keep this short. The reason I dislike the lack of communication, is that as a 1st wave PTU tester, I am left wondering if there is any chance it will launch tomorrow, so that I can help find bugs! Even with the window of PTU testing, we are still outside of it, and someone at CIG can't just take 30 seconds to let us know if there is going to be new content to play tomorrow. This is frustrating.

I mean, what is the point of the schedule at all? Content is still filtered, and the idea that we get "up to date" information is not true. There is no schedule of SQ42 posted, especially regarding the biggest blocker- AI. Surely CIG has an internal schedule for the state of subsumption in the game... right? So why isn't it posted?

Better yet, why does CIG do this? Be totally transparent, or don't, but don't claim you are going to be, and then clearly not be.

TLDR: I'm bored. Give me something to play or tell me it's going to be a while. But whatever you do, don't promise me full transparency and then not give it.
