Why can't soccer associations acknowledge referee mistakes?
Post Body

This is quite an interesting article. Note how in boxing, one referee was sent back, another referee was suspended. In Water Polo, the referee was also sent back, who himself admitted he made a bad error.

Yet in soccer, when a referee makes a huge blunder ... well, nothing happens. Has the ref had any fallback from yesterday's Canada vs USA game? Any reprimands? Any admissions of errors by her or anyone in charge? This doesn't just go for Christiana Pedersen, but pretty much any refs in any game that makes errors. If you keep protecting them, errors will continue to happen.
