I was thinking of doing an out and back from the trailhead near the Mill Creek ranger station, up the Yucaipa Ridge Truck Trail, maybe to Cedar Mountain: https://onthegomap.com/s/tbnjdaif
Then I realized that this was basically the burn area of the 2020 El Dorado Fire (the one started by a gender reveal party). I've never been up this trail before. Is there anyone who's done it recently who can comment on whether it's super ugly right now?
Don't know about the actual trail but just did some hiking in El Dorado park where the fire started and it is rebounding nicely. Can see obvious signs of fire but pretty green and lush and a lot of wildlife.
