ROKU deal after free trial?

Signed up for the 7 day free trial and really enjoying it. I was interested in the Roku deals, but saw a video mentioning you cannot get them after the trial with the same account?
Does anyone know whether I can simply cancel within the trial period, and then sign back up for one of the Roku deals? Or will I need to cancel and then use a different email and payment method to take advantage of that?
